I believe that taking picture even using a sophisticated microscope is a fairly personal effort. However, I must admit many friends' and colleagues' contributions in the lab, underwater and during land excursions where their point of view and previous works inspired me a lot. Over the last 20 years of my research life I was happy to work with Drs. Olcay Semiz, David F. Albertini, Özgür Çınar, Yasemin Özdemir, Müge Yemişçi, Günfer Gürer, Burcu Tefon, Sinan Özkavukçu, Serçin Karahüseyinoglu and Deniz Balcı who gave hand in preparing countless number of microscopic slides which were then archived in my lab's micrograph collection (see few samples under MICROGRAPHS). Needles to say, hundreds of dive buddies and guides made me seeing the objects, critters as well as threats during thousands of underwater expeditions.

Finally, I would like to thank to my wife Dr. Ufuk Can, my daughter Selin, my son Barış and my dad and mom altogether made my life easier and closer to the sea.
